Self Help Graphics & Art and Prospering Backyards present Soil Time: Rooted - Our Cultural Connection to Soil as part of our new Soil Time program, taking place next on Saturday, July 2nd from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. All materials will provided. Register today!

Dig into the soil and its essential role in our lives–a source of food, home, and inspiration for sustainable and resilient communities. Create with artists, gardeners, activists, chefs, and scientists as we grow our relationship with soil in this series of hands-on bilingual workshops. These workshops support the Prospering Backyards community science project taking on the lead contamination crisis in Los Angeles. Soil is Life!

These workshops support the Prospering Backyards community science project taking on the lead contamination crisis in Los Angeles. Soil is Life!

Soil Time and Prospering Backyards is led by Los Angeles-based artist Maru Garcia with Self Help Graphics and Art in partnership with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles. This series is part of the Getty Foundation's Pacific Standard Time Initiative: ArtXScience preliminary programming.
