Artists Miyo Stevens-Gandara and Wayne Perry will offer a free one-day workshop on October 2 from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Self Help Graphics, where participants will activate a Memorial Tree Project; a living memorial, with small ceramic plates with their messages to commemorate losses the community has suffered these past two years. The ceramic notes will serve to process loss and grief or to express hopes for the future. The Memorial Tree Project, a symbol of endurance and perseverance, will be a permanent installation at SHG.
This workshop will take place on site at Self Help Graphics & Art and is open to all ages. Registration is free and all materials will be provided.
