Su Corazon is part of my ongoing Juarez Series which focuses on the unsolved murders of female factory workers that began 30 years ago when the NAFTA agreement was signed during the Clinton Administration. The situation at the Mexican/US border is heartbreaking for so many reasons. However, the murders of these young women are particularly violent and bespeak a staggering indifference for the value and humanity of women by reducing them to disposable objects. In spite of Me Too and other feminist movements, the abuse and exploitation of women and girls goes on around the world. The Juarez Series is a way to remind the public that they must demand justice for women. Nothing will change until they do.
