Golden Vision is a six-color silkscreen that explores LA’s landscape and color palette. There is a play between figuration and abstraction and between illusionism and concrete visual experimentation. The imagery used is meant to recreate the awe and mystery nature evokes.
About Poli:
Poli Marichal (b. Ponce, Puerto Rico) is an artist, filmmaker and art educator based in Los Angeles. She has a BFA for Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico and an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art.Marichal has been recipient of art grants from the Rauschenberg Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Her prints, paintings, mixed media, films and videos are in many public and private collections.
