Leslie Gutierrez Saiz grew up in East LA. She obtained her BFA in graphic design from California College of Arts and Crafts in 1997. Leslie works in many disciplines that include: painting, paper mâché, ceramics, print-making, and graphic design. In addition to her fine art, Leslie has been working professionally in the online industry for over ten years and has received an Emmy award for her role as creative director and online producers. Leslie has recently become a founding board member for a non-profit HNDP in 2012.
