Join us for our free Family Workshop at the East Los Angeles County Library on Saturday, April 13, at 1:00 p.m. with Teaching Artist Jess Gudiel and delve into the world of soil! We'll use clay to create pendants, then carve into them different tiny creatures living in healthy soil, like worms, bacteria, and more! This workshop celebrates life within the soil, focusing on the beneficial organisms that thrive there. Participants will receive clay, a skewer, and twine to create their soil-inspired pendant. We'll guide you through rolling the clay and carving your chosen soil creature into it. Once your pendant is dry, you can wear it proudly or display it as a decoration.
This workshop is part of Prospering backyards series of workshops in partnership with Self Help Graphics and the Natural History Museum. Walk-ins are welcome.
