***Beginning April 2023, our Family Workshops will take place on second Saturdays of the month at the East Los Angeles County Library, inside the Community Room.***

On Saturday, April 8, at 1:00 p.m., we welcome Teaching Artist Moni Perez, who’ll lead a Gelli Plate Printing workshop at the East Los Angeles County Library. Participants will gain an understanding of how to use gel plates for image transfers, to create their own unique artworks. Using acrylic paint, gel plates, organic textures and a magazine cut out, participants will learn the steps of rolling paint onto a gel plate, placing the magazine image on the plate, removing, and then printing! 

Space is limited, registration is highly encouraged. This workshop is open to all ages and no prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided to participants. Masks are encouraged, but optional, for workshop participants.

The East Los Angeles County Library is located at 4837 E 3rd St Los Angeles, CA 90022, directly across from the Metro L Line East LA Civic Center Station; located at the intersection of 3rd Street and Mednik Avenue.
