Juan Silverio is a queer brown artist and scholar born and raised in Koreatown, Los Angeles. He's the Curator of Hacer, Deshacer y Rehacer, an exhibition on view August 9-September 21, 2018 at Self Help Graphics & Art, that brings together a selection of historical and contemporary perspectives of the Latinx body and the City of Los Angeles, to foster an intergenerational conversation that explores queer and Latinx visual culture and stories. In the summer of 2017, he was a curatorial intern at the Getty Research Institute as part of the Getty Multi-Cultural Undergraduate Internship program and worked as a curatorial assistant at UC Santa Barbara's Special Research Collections Library on a forthcoming exhibition.
