U.S.Latinx Art Forum (uslaf.org) in partnership with Self Help Graphics and Art, will host a panel to discuss how to sustain the field of Latinx/Chicanx art after PST: LA/LA. USLAF officer Sonja Gandert will pose questions touching upon the following ideas: How do we (institutions, scholars, curators, and artists) leverage the unprecedented focus on the field of Chicanx/Latinx art after PST LA/LA? How do we sustain interest and funding in the field? How do we continue support of long-standing institutions that have been supporting the field for decades while encouraging new interest by others? What type of support do artists especially need, now? The panel will be moderated by Sonja Gandert (USLAF) and feature the following artists and institutional leaders: Judithe Hernandez, Raul Baltazar, Marcus Kuiland-Nazario, Lourdes Ramos (MoLAA), Betty Avila (Self Help Graphics & Art), and Mario Ontiveros (CSUN).
