Carlos & Fernando by Gabriel Garcia Roman

Gabriel is a left-handed Mexican-Amaricón artist living in New York City, born in the high deserts of Zacatecas, Mexico and raised in the mean streets of Chicago’s north side. Gabriel’s family immigrated to the states when he was two years old.

Gabriel created this print to honor Carlos & Fernando, together for 16 years and married for 8. Both Carlos & Fernando work in the mental health field, inclusion in the series honors their love and commitment to each other and is one that is never highlighted and necessary. Brown queer love is a revolutionary act.
