Eastside Sol was the first 100% solar powered festival on the Eastside featuring music Buyepongo, live interactive art activities by Self Help’s Barrio Mobile Art Studio (mural making & screen-printing). A huge thanks to our partners: RePower L.A., LURN, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice, La Causa Youthbuild, CALÓ YouthBuild, GRID Alternatives, artists Joe Galarza & Martha Carrillo, La Causa’s guest artist Sean for organizing this event.

The free festival, informed and engaged the Eastside residents on solar power, environmental sustainability, and clean energy in their community. It also featured a 100% solar-powered music stage; free fruit and aguas frescas; food trucks; local vendors; free shade tree giveaway; free face painting; and information booths from local environmental justice and clean energy organizations.
